Tully Construction Co., Inc., (Tully), established in 1978, is owned and operated by the Tully family which has been in the construction and hauling industry for over eighty five years. The Company’s history dates back to the early 1920’s, established under the name of the original founders of Tully and Di Napoli (“T&D”). T&D became one of the major names in the general contracting industry in United States, excavating, draining, pile driving, paving, shoring, pumping, underpinning- literally laying the groundwork for some of the worlds most admired structures and traffic arteries.

T&D participated in such projects as the Triborough Bridge, paving for the viaduct between the Hells Gate Bridge and the tollbooths, which was officially dedicated and opened by President Franklin Delano Roosevelt on July 4th, 1935. T&D remained one of the major regional contractors into 1950's and 1960's, involved in the construction of such projects as: the World’s Fair, Grand Central Parkway, Garden State Parkway, New Jersey Turnpike, Cross Bronx Expressway, Southern State Parkway, Long Island Expressway, Idlewild/Kennedy Airport, LaGuardia Airport, Triborough Bridge, Whitestone Bridge and the foundation for the World Trade Center.

In 1971, as a second generation of principals evolved, Willets Point Contracting Corp. was formed. The Company completed work for agencies such as: The City of New York, Department of Transportation, Department of Sanitation, State of New York, Department of Transportation, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. In 1980 Willets Point entered into solid waste management and were awarded projects for several cities and towns on Long Island and New Jersey including: the Town of Oyster Bay, Long Island and the Bergen County Utilities Authority in New Jersey.

Today, Tully Construction continues to strive for excellence and remains one of the leaders in the industry. Tully remains a family owned and operated business. The principals have diversified and expanded business interests beyond the construction industry into the areas of landfill closures, environmental remediation, yard waste recycling and bio-solid reuse, waste water treatment plants, building demolition and construction, while continuing to be one of the top heavy and highway contractors in the tri-state area.
